Street education

It sprang up in 1987 as an answer to a special need: help children from the Old Quarter who came to the summer camps but where left by themselves hanging around in the  streets during the rest of the year.

Nowadays, it is a secondary service of the open centers.

The philosophy underlying street education is to be close to these children and young people, keeping with them in their own environment, but never imposing them our behaviour or ideas, nor using educational patterns.

In short, it tries to provide them an example that they can use as a reference which should help them to develop in their reality.
